How to Start
Getting started is simple. Create an account by logging in with Discord, choose your player name and country, and you’re ready to go. From there, you can jump straight into the queue and begin your climb toward the Peak!
Once a match is found and accepted, you will be redirected to the dedicated match page. There, you and your opponent exchange arena codes and join the created arena. After that, simply follow the instructions on the match page and begin playing.
Good luck, and have fun on your climb to the Peak!
RuleSet
We play with the official Dach Ruleset. Check here
Altitudes/Rank Progression
Each match you play will win or lose you Meters. Your meters determine your altitude on the ladder. Defeating players below your altitude grants fewer meters, while upsetting stronger, higher-altitude opponents rewards you with more.
Smash the Peak features five ranks, each divided into three tiers (III, II, I). Every tier represents 100 meters. Beyond these ranks lies the sixth and highest rank: Peak. Peak has no tiers, instead, it displays the total number of meters you have climbed beyond it.
When you first queue up, you will enter your placement phase. This phase lasts 8 matches. During this time, your skill level is evaluated, and you rank will be revealed once all placement matches are completed.
You will also appear in the public rankings table only after finishing your placement phase.
Help, my opponent is not responding or reporting!
We are sorry to hear that you’ve encountered a non-responsive opponent. If you find yourself in a match where the other player is refusing to communicate or report scores, please follow these steps:
- Use the Force Quit Menu: Propose a cancellation and select the appropriate reason
- Report the Player: Use the report button on the match page. We track these reports to identify patterns of unsportsmanlike behavior
- Move On: Once the match is closed, simply jump back into the queue
We receive many requests to manually adjust Altitude (Meters) after a disrupted match. Please do not ask us to grant you Meters, we will not do so. Manually verifying the "rightful winner" of every single disputed match would rquire so much extra work, time that is better spent developing new features and improving the matchmaking system. Trust the math: over a large enough sample of matches, the system will naturally place you at the Altitude you belong.
Trust the process too. People that offend our rules even once will receive penalties or even bans. Be mindfull tho that we dont act immediatly, as we aren't on the moderator site 24/7.
Seasons
Each Season will last about 3 months.
Seasonal resets are handled softly. You will not lose all of your progress, however, you will have a placement phase again.
Smurfs
Smash the Peak supports smurf accounts in a controlled and transparent way. After completing 50 matches, you unlock the ability to create a smurf.
When creating a smurf, you must choose a new player name, and the account will always be visibly marked as a smurf. The smurf’s starting altitude is reduced by a certain percentage based on your highest-altitude account. Additionally, your main character from that account will be banned on the smurf. Then you also enter a placement phase.
This system scales further. After completing another 50 matches on your most recent smurf, you may create an additional one. Its starting altitude will again be based on your highest-altitude account. The most played character from your latest smurf, along with all previously banned characters, will also be banned on the new smurf.
